An enterprising person is someone who finds a load of rubbish and builds something unique, an enterprising person is someone who drives through new obstacles, an enterprising person is someone who sees opportunity in all areas of life !
To be enterprising is to keep your eyes open & your mind active, be confident enough to take on new challenges, be creative in designing your life, be ambitious enough to seize opportunities – I say opportunities, because there may be more than one !
A person with an enterprising attitude will develop new skills to work alongside those they already posses… and even more so, they will dump those that are not beneficial to their goals. Be prepared to be resourceful, be prepared for failure, be strong enough to accept those negative reactions & results…. These are all part of the learning curve to being an enterprising person !
Enterprising people always see the future in the present, enterprising people always find a way to take advantage of a situation, enterprising people aren’t lazy they don’t hang around waiting for that perfect opportunity, they try them and they find the one that fits…. a little like when you go out shopping ! – How often do you try on a pair of shoes, shirt, trousers, blouse etc and get something that fits perfect the first time…. not always !!
Enterprise means – Always finding a way to keep yourself actively working towards your ambition, dreams and goals !
There’s two key things to be enterprising….
One is to be creative – to see what’s out there & to shape it to your advantage, look at the world slightly different & take a different approach but keeping the essential ingredients to a successful opportunity….. become unique !
The second is – being brave, to have courage, be ambitious in developing your dream lifestyle, have that little bit of vision that’s different to others but something that you are (don’t try and be a copy) be you !
Being enterprising isn’t always about making money (even though it is a nice thing) …. it’s also about feeling good about yourself and what you have done to inspire & motivate others who are watching from the side lines to see if you succeed or fail !
Make a difference, be the difference !
